Missions at Maranatha
Maranatha’s Vision is to provide encouragement toward a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Our programming, recreation, and year-round conference facilities aim to renew and equip our guests and resident community toward greater service for Him.
Toward that end, Maranatha’s board, leadership team and staff work hard to provide opportunities for our community to learn about and partner with respected organizations that are making a difference for Christ and his Kingdom around the world.
Summer Program Ministry Partners
During each week of the summer, Maranatha features a different mission organization as part of our Summer Programming. Through various platform moments, prayer sessions, receptions and casual on-campus interactions, Maranatha members and guests are given opportunities to learn about, be encouraged by, and partner with representatives from respected organizations that are making an impact around the world. Each featured organization has been carefully vetted and selected by the Maranatha ministry committee. Organizations/groups interested in applying to be featured during a Maranatha’s summer program should email cdewitt@maranathamichigan.org.
Maranatha Missions Travel Experience
The “Maranatha Missions Travel Experience” program gives Maranatha members and guests the opportunity to “go deeper” in their understanding of global missions by partnering with ministries who have been featured at Maranatha during our summer season. These partnerships take the form of short term trips to see, learn about, support, pray for and serve alongside those ministries, in the hope that participants will grow in their understanding of the Christian missions and global church, be given the opportunity to encourage and serve our Christian brothers and sisters working around the world, and be challenged to pray for, support and serve the Great Commission in deeper ways.
The program aims to offer 1-3 trips, with a mix of domestic and international opportunities at different price points, each year.
The MMTE is supported by the “Scott Melby Memorial Fund”, which has been designated specifically to support Maranatha’s missions efforts.
